Architect: Lorin T. Brehaut, MArch, AIA, MRAIC, AAPEI
Lorin founded studio | Brehaut architecture in 2010 after returning home from 10 years of working at LDa Architecture & Interiors in Cambridge, MA.
studio | Brehaut was originally set up on Main Street in Montague. The office is now located in his home in Guernsey Cove, a home compiled from two family homes - The Brehaut & Beck houses. A portion of the Beck House, was redesigned to serve as the new home for Studio | Brehaut.
Lorin graduated from Dalhousie University in 1990 with a Master of Architecture (first professional) and worked in New York City and Bermuda before moving to Boston in 1999. The desire to return home to PEI and family became stronger after the birth of his daughter in 2006.
Lorin envisions buildings with an unmistakable East Coast flavour, combined with classic, gracious proportions and intuitive spacial planning. The rural maritime landscape has become the common thread of his past, present and future practice.
